Esje de Wet was raised in a home filled with needlework, knitting, tapestry, crosstich and crocheting. The excitement of acquiring beautiful yarns and materials and creating wonderful garments and other products by her mother, aunt and grandmother continued in her own home when raising her daughter, Santie.

Santie du Plooy developed a love for various modern crafts mostly produced internationally. The joy of sourcing products internationally and the satisfaction of creating modern crafts such as punch needle made her want to share it with local crafters.

When the opportunity arose, mother and daughter combined their passion into Estie Craft Shop to inspire young and old in enjoying traditional as well as modern crafts.
